The Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit have lost their WNCL clash with the SA Scorpions by three wickets in a low-scoring contest at the MCG.
Victoria posted just 83 runs after winning the toss and electing to bat, before South Australia chased the total with seven wickets down thanks to some pressure bowling from Alana King (4-33).
Fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck dislocated her shoulder while diving for the ball early in South Australia’s chase, and after treatment took no further part in the game.
Victoria sit in sixth position on the WNCL table with one win from four matches.
Round 3 of the WNCL will continue following the WBBL, with the VicSpirit facing Queensland at Allan Border Field on Feburary 16, 2018 and Western Australia on February 17, 2018.
