Heading into his second season at the helm, David Hemp has his sights set on VicSpirit glory.
Hemp, 45, played 271 first-class matches and scored over 15,000 runs for Glamorgan, Free State and Warwickshire, while also representing Bermuda in 22 one-day internationals from 2006 to 2009.
He has continued to play Twenty20 matches for the ICC associate nation and was the team’s highest run-scorer at the ICC Americas Region Division One Twenty20 tournament in Indianapolis.
Hemp is a qualified level four coach who had a coaching role with Australia’s team for cricketers with an intellectual disability, was an assistant with Prahran in Premier Cricket and the director of coaching at Scotch College.
