Bio: After playing four games in her debut season, Villani enjoyed a breakout year in 2008/09. The hard-hitting opener scored 272 runs at an average of 34 to finish seventh on the overall batting list, making those runs at an impressive strike-rate of 70.33. On top of her WNCL form, the right-hander caught the eye of Australian selectors with an impressive series for the Shooting Stars and was picked in the Southern Stars squad for the ICC World Twenty20 Championships and made her international debut against New Zealand in June. Also named in the VWCA Premier Firsts Team of the Year, Villani is studying to become a primary school teacher. Who has had the biggest influence on your life? Lots of different sporting coaches starting from U/12's, in particular Mick Van and of course my family and friends. What are you scared of? Burning or drowning to death.
