About Clea Smith

Nickname Smitty
Date of Birth 9/01/1979
Club Essendon Maribyrnong Park
Batting Right-Hand Bat
Bowling Right-Arm Fast-Medium

With the 2010-11 Twenty20 final in the balance and with New South Wales making a late charge for victory, it was Smith who delivered the final over and with NSW requiring a six off the last ball, an unplayable yorker.

After claiming 15 wickets in the Twenty20 tournament, Smith ended a four-year absence from the Southern Stars One-Day team in style collecting a career-best 4/32 against NZ in Brisbane.

A veteran to the game, having represented the Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit in over 100 WNCL matches, Smith's 14-year career for the VicSpirit has seen her take on a leadership role within the ranks, mentoring and showering the younger squad members with pearls of wisdom about the game.
