Julie Hunter will once again spearhead the Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit attack this season after establishing herself as one of the world's premier new ball bowlers.

Hunter announced herself on the global stage at the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, claiming the most wickets at the tournament and grabbing a career-best haul of 5-22 in the semi-final against the West Indies.

Her brilliant performance in the series elevated her to fifth in the world on the ICC Twenty20 bowling rankings.

While injuries curtailed her Ashes campaign, she has since returned to full fitness and will be desperate to lead the VicSpirit to glory.
