After taking a season away from the game in 2010-11, Applebee has worked hard with VWCA side Dandenong to force her way back into the Commonwealth Bank VicSpirit squad.
A nine-season veteran, Applebee has hit 1462 runs in 85 WNCL matches.
Strong early season with Dandenong saw Applebee picked in the VicSpirit opening matches of the 2011-12 season.
She repaid the faith shown in her from the selectors by making 62 in Victoria's win over Queensland Fire.
