After an outstanding two seasons that saw her chosen in the Southern Stars squad for 2010-11, Beams had a mixed domestic season, playing only eight matches.
She was effective in the four Twenty20s she played, collecting four wickets from only eight overs bowled.
The leg-spinner hails from Tasmania, but now wears the Big V with pride.
Away from the game, Beams works in the Game Development Department at Cricket Australia for which she is a Senior Officer, Club Cricket.
